Leonid Fedun, chairman of the board of directors of the Moscow football club Spartak, commented on the victory of the Russian national team over the Hungarian team with a score of 3: 2.
According to him, the Russians’ game “was very good, of high quality.” Nevertheless, after the score 3: 0, as Fedun noted, the players calmed down. Also, as Fedun said, “Stanislav Cherchesov had some rather strange substitutions that broke the game, we barely rebounded.”
During the match with Hungary, which took place in Budapest as part of the 2nd round of the UEFA Nations League, the Russians were leading with a score of 3: 0. However, in the second half, the Hungarians won back two goals. Nevertheless, the Russians brought the matter to victory.
In the second half, Cherchesov released Yuri Zhirkov instead of the author of the assist Daler Kuzyaev. Also, midfielder Yuri Gazinsky replaced the author of one of the goals, Anton Miranchuk. And also the full-back Vyacheslav Karavaev replaced the flanking midfielder Alexey Ionov.
