The largest volume of municipal solid waste (MSW) is generated in Moscow and the region, as well as in the Krasnodar Territory, Rostov Region and Tatarstan. This was reported by “RIA Novosti” with reference to the research of the analytical service of the international audit and consulting network FinExpertiza.
So, among the Russian regions, Moscow generates the most MSW in absolute terms, where in 2019 26.8 million cubic meters were exported to landfills. m, and the Moscow region (20.4 million). In total, the capital region accounts for 14% of all household waste in the country.
The third line of the “garbage” rating is Krasnodar Territory, where in 2019 15 million cubic meters were exported to landfills. m. of waste, followed by the Rostov region (12.4 million), as well as Tatarstan (12.2 million). On October 13, it was reported that with the help of a special system in Russia they want to visualize the routes of garbage trucks in order to control the quality of the provision of services for the removal of solid municipal waste (MSW). It was proposed to launch a pilot project in Moscow.
