A long-term draft of the Strategy for the Socio-Economic Development of the City of Kirov was presented at a meeting of the members of the Standing Committee on Budget and Finance of the Kirov City Duma
It should be noted that scientists, experts, businessmen and social activists are actively involved in the development of the Strategy for the socio-economic development of the regional center until 2035. Among the five directions of the Strategy are “Inspired People”, “Developed Investment Potential”, “Famous Brand”, “Comfortable Environment” and “Open Power”. The company-developer of the project, among the main strategic goals, determines the entry of our regional center into the top five leaders of Russian cities with a population of 500-700 thousand people.
Members of the budget commission of the KGD got acquainted with interest and discussed the indicators of socio-economic development of the city of Kirov, proposed as target indicators of the Strategy. The presentation of the project caused a long discussion among the deputies. The speakers were asked a lot of questions concerning both monitoring of the Strategy and its financing. In addition, the people’s representatives noted that the residents of the regional center should be even more actively involved in the local self-government system and dialogue with the business community.
The head of the city, Elena Kovaleva, who was present at the meeting of the commission, emphasized the intentions of the Council, created under the head of the city, to participate in the process of developing the Strategy, the mayor’s office informs. The draft Strategy-2035 will be considered at a meeting of the Kirov City Duma.
