BMW vehicles have received a warning function for road cameras that detect overspeeding and passing on red lights. This was reported on April 28 by the press service of the brand.

It is noted that information about road cameras is displayed in advance in the driver’s field of view on the dashboard or head-up display (if there is such a function in the car).

The traffic camera warning function is supported by vehicles equipped with the BMW operating system 7 (firmware version 20-07) in conjunction with the Live Cockpit Professional option.

BMW emphasized that the function displays information only about fixed speed cameras and red light passage. At the same time, it does not warn about mobile speed cameras, about lane markings and lane control cameras, as well as about cameras for fixing average speed.

On March 17, it was reported that BMW has unveiled the new i4 electric car. The novelty externally resembles the model of the BMW 4 Series Gran Coupe. The car received a long wheelbase, a sloping roofline, short front and rear overhangs, and LED optics.

The model is planned to be produced at the company’s plant in Munich (Germany). The exact timing of the start of sales of new items has not yet been reported.
