Democrat Joe Biden may already announce the name of a candidate for the post of secretary of state in his administration early next week. This was announced on Thursday, November 19, by CNN, citing sources.

The TV company does not exclude that the name of the head of the State Department will be announced on Monday or Tuesday.

Earlier in the day, during a speech following a meeting with the Executive Committee of the National Association of Governors of the United States, Biden said that he planned to announce his candidate for the post of the head of the Treasury of the country shortly before or a little after Thanksgiving, which is celebrated on November 26 this year.

The American media names Susan Rice among the candidates who can head the Foreign Ministry. The politician was the Assistant for National Security under Barack Obama. Ex-Deputy Secretary of State Anthony Blinken and several Democratic senators can also apply for the post.

On November 19, Biden called the refusal of the current US President Donald Trump to recognize the results of the presidential election as irresponsible. Biden noted that Trump sent “an incredible signal sent to the world.”

Earlier it was reported that the number of votes cast by voters in support of the United States presidential candidate Biden is approaching a record 80 million.

The US presidential elections were held on November 3, but the final results have not yet been summed up. Trump has repeatedly stated that it was he who won the last vote, and not his opponent from the Democratic Party, Joe Biden, who, in turn, considered his opponent’s unwillingness to admit defeat to be a shame and said that he wanted to talk to him personally.
