All 1934 schools of the Republic of Bashkortostan are ready to provide primary school students with meals. This was stated by the chairman of the Republic’s State Committee for Trade and Consumer Rights Protection Alexei Gusev during an operational meeting in the government, which took place on 24 August.

According to the press center of the republican government, funds for these purposes will be allocated on the basis of co-financing. Within three years, Bashkiria will receive a subsidy of 4.55 billion rubles, including 778.1 million rubles this year.
In addition, the republic allocated 165 million rubles for the repair of catering units and their equipping with the necessary equipment. Another 52.4 million rubles were allocated for catering in small schools, where previously benefit children received weekly food packages.
The head of Bashkiria, Radiy Khabirov, instructed the control department of the administration of Bashkiria to analyze the work of school catering, especially at the beginning of the school year.
On August 12, Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin announced that the Russian government would allocate and distribute 22 billion rubles to organize hot meals in schools for elementary school students.
On August 11, Russian President Vladimir Putin instructed to pay special attention to small schools, which are most often located in rural areas, so that all students there can use the provided food benefits.
