The Russian Association of Air Transport Operators (AEVT) appealed to the Ministry of Transport because of the rise in the price of aviation kerosene at airports.

After the tenders for the supply of fuel, the cost of kerosene in August-September will increase by 18% to 62% compared to July-August, Kommersant reports. This will inevitably lead to higher prices for air tickets.

“AEVT asks the Ministry of Transport, together with the Ministry of Energy and the FAS of Russia, to initiate verification of the validity of a sharp increase in the cost of aviation kerosene at the airports of the Russian Federation,” AEVT reported.

Earlier, the first Russian tourists flew to Turkey. Later it became known that the country’s aviation authorities introduced restrictions on the carriage of hand luggage when flying to the republic. Only backpacks and shoulder bags of a size comparable to a women’s handbag, as well as a laptop, a camera and a Duty Free package can be transported in the aircraft cabin.
