Another 27% of the 3,181 educational institutions of the Krasnodar Territory are not ready for the new academic year. Deputy Governor Anna Minkova told about this at a meeting of the regional Security Council. The commission has already recognized the rest of the institutions as ready.

Minkova also said that 680 thousand schoolchildren are preparing to sit at their desks this year. Of these, 76 thousand are first graders. The load on schools, she said, is growing every year. Over the past five years, the number of schoolchildren in the Kuban has grown by 123 thousand. “Classroom occupancy is still high in Krasnodar, Goryachy Klyuch, Anapa, Novorossiysk, Armavir and Sochi,” she added.

Governor Veniamin Kondratyev instructed to complete all repair work by October 20 and eliminate all comments of the commission. He said that 1.8 billion rubles were allocated for the preparation of schools this year. An additional 172 million rubles were spent on the purchase of disinfection lamps.

The head of the region also noted that it is not yet known in what format the lines will be held on September 1. “We have to be ready for any format. Nevertheless, September 1 is a holiday for schoolchildren and parents. Even if there are no traditional rulers, we must make sure that this day is remembered, – said Kondratyev.

The head of Rospotrebnadzor, Maria Potemkina, said that in every school in the morning all students will need to check the temperature and keep a log. “If a child has a fever, it is necessary to isolate him and call an ambulance,” she said.
