The Russian airline Aeroflot has decided to cancel flights to more than 80 cities by 31 August. This was announced on Thursday, August 6, by the air carrier’s press service.

Aeroflot announces the forced cancellation for the period until August 31 of some of its regular flights to international destinations. The decision to adjust the program of international flights was made taking into account the current epidemiological restrictions in the countries of destination, ”the message says.

At the same time, the countries with which Russia resumed air traffic were not included in this list.

The airline noted that those passengers who purchased tickets after May 1 on the Aeroflot website will be refunded automatically in accordance with the form of payment. Those who bought tickets before May 1 will be able to issue vouchers.

Russia has resumed flights with a number of countries since August 1, which was closed due to the coronavirus pandemic. Prior to that, only export flights were allowed, with which Russians were returned to their homeland.

Since the beginning of August, flights have resumed with Great Britain, Turkey and Tanzania. Until August 10, planes from Russia will fly only to Istanbul and Ankara. Then flights will begin to three other Turkish resorts – Antalya, Bodrum and Dalaman.
