Amid the pandemic caused by the new coronavirus infection, the Republic of Crimea enjoyed a successful and safe holiday season. During the 3.5 months of the holiday season, none of the sanatoriums and hotels in the region was quarantined due to the worsening epidemiological situation. This was announced by the chairman of the Committee for Tourism, Resorts and Sports of the State Council of the Republic of Kazakhstan Alexei Chernyak.

According to him, due to the unprecedentedly warm weather conditions this autumn, a number of hotels and health resorts in Crimea are 90 percent full even now. We are successfully booking rooms for winter holidays. According to information provided by Alexei Chernyak, 831 accommodation facilities for holidaymakers have undertaken to comply with the recommendations of Rospotrebnadzor and have received permission to work in a pandemic.

The interlocutor called the recruitment of service personnel the only difficulty in operating health resorts and hotels in unusual conditions caused by the epidemiological situation. But most importantly, he said, the republic’s resort complex worked without outbreaks of coronavirus infection.

In turn, Natalya Stambulnikova, the chairman of the Association of Small Hotels of Crimea and the owner of a mini-hotel in Sevastopol, called the holiday season that opened with a delay “very difficult, but very interesting.” According to her, properly organized work allowed hoteliers to form a guest base for the next 5 years. Among the issues to be addressed, Natalya Stambulnikova noted the lack of rental cars and the need to organize places to accommodate tourists’ pets.
