A resident of St. Petersburg dismembered and packed her husband’s body into bags. This was reported by Channel Five with reference to law enforcement agencies on Thursday, July 30.

“The incident took place the other day in an apartment in one of the houses on Nevsky Prospekt in the Central District,” the message says.

According to law enforcement officers, the 31-year-old man died on July 25 in his home, presumably from a drug overdose. His 36-year-old wife did not report to the police and decided to dispose of the corpse on her own. She dismembered the man’s body and packed the remains in five bags. It is noted that the man was Ukrainian.

As a result, the woman was detained. The issue of initiating a criminal case is being resolved.

Earlier, on July 28, the Vyborgsky District Court of St. Petersburg arrested Nikolai Tikhonov until September 26, who is accused of murdering and dismembering his wife. According to the investigation, on the night of July 27, the man, “realizing that his actions could result in the death of the victim, and wanting her to come,” hit his wife with an ax at least five times. As a result, the woman died, and the husband dismembered the body and took it to the forest.
