The case of the murder of a 15-year-old schoolgirl, committed in 2007, was solved in the Irkutsk region. This was reported by the press service of the Investigative Committee.
On suspicion of committing a crime, two people were detained, including a member of the regional chamber of lawyers. The investigation believes that in March 2007 they killed a schoolgirl in the village of Balagansk and hid the body between houses.
The motives for the crime are being established, the message says.
According to the local newspaper “Notebook”, the defendant, who is a member of the Bar Association, is named Alexey Torop. He opened his law practice several years ago, before that he was an investigator in law enforcement agencies and himself led an investigation of this crime, which did not lead to any results. His office is registered on the same street where the body of the murdered girl was found. The only thing known about the identity of the second defendant is that this is an acquaintance of Torop.
“Taiga.Info” clarifies that the schoolgirl was raped before the murder. Also, Torop, according to this portal, is being checked for involvement in another rape of a minor, which happened in 2017.
