In total, 4666 people have died from COVID-19 since the beginning of the epidemic in Moscow.
Earlier, on August 16, director of the Center for Epidemiology and Microbiology. N.F. Gamalei Alexander Gunzburg said that the third stage of vaccine research can start in 7-10 days, several tens of thousands of people will take part in it. This stage of testing the Russian coronavirus vaccine will take place on an outpatient basis: volunteers will come from home for examination and leave.
He also noted that the vaccine can go into civilian circulation about a month after the start of the third stage of trials.
Over the past day, 4969 new cases of COVID-19 were recorded in the country in 84 regions. In total, since the beginning of the pandemic, 922,853 cases of coronavirus have been recorded in Russia, of which 15,695 are lethal. 732,968 patients recovered.
