Zenit midfielder Magomed Ozdoev passed a positive test for COVID-19 upon returning from the location of the Russian national football team, Metaratings.ru reports.
Due to his illness, the midfielder will not be able to play against Arsenal Tula in the Russian Football Championship (November 18) and against the Belgian Brugge in the fifth round of the Champions League.
Earlier it became known about the infection with coronavirus of other players of the national team – Denis Cheryshev (Valencia, Spain) and Alexei Miranchuk (Atalanta, Italy).
Note that in the current season Ozdoev played 18 matches for the St. Petersburg club. He made four assists and scored one goal.
The midfielder also took part in the November matches of the Russian national football team. In matches against Moldova (0: 0), Turkey (defeat 3: 2) and Serbia (defeat 0: 5), he did not score with effective actions.
