Yuri Slyusar was relieved of his post as head of the manufacturer of Su-57, Su-35 and Su-34 fighters – PJSC Sukhoi Company. As part of the formation of the military aviation division in the United Aircraft Corporation (UAC, part of the Rostec state corporation), the powers of the sole executive body have been transferred to the UAC, a representative of the UAC told Izvestia. Yuri Slyusar continues to be the general director of the UAC, he stressed.
“The corporate transformation of the UAC, along with the formation of divisions by areas of activity, provides for the consistent centralization of management, the elimination of duplicate administrative functions, the creation of general corporate centers of competence and service, the expansion of cooperation of production sites for more efficient implementation of aircraft programs. At the same time, reputable design schools will continue to develop, ”explained the representative of the UAC.
Since November 10, Yuri Slyusar has combined the management of the UAC and the Sukhoi company. But on December 21, at the general meeting of Sukhoi shareholders, within the framework of the internal integration of the UAC military division, the powers of the sole executive body were transferred to the UAC.
Yuri Slyusar replaced Ilya Tarasenko in November, who had been the head of Sukhoi for nine months (appointed in February 2020). UAC then reported that this was done to accelerate the implementation of the ongoing corporate transformation in order to create a single company, taking into account the implementation of the UAC financial recovery program.
Earlier, within the framework of the formation of the military aviation division, the Sukhoi company was transferred the powers of the sole executive body of RSK MiG, “which made it possible to centralize the management of enterprises that develop and manufacture operational-tactical aircraft.”
In 2020, the UAC also received the powers of the sole executive body over Ilyushin, which is the center of the transport aviation division. Now the same decision will be applied in relation to the Sukhoi, on the basis of which a military (operational-tactical) aviation division is being formed.
