Will Germany introduce a curfew

The situation with the coronavirus pandemic in Germany remains tense despite tightening quarantines and restrictive measures. The steady rise in the number of infections and the daily number of deaths are of serious concern to the federal authorities. Mutated strains of coronavirus also pose an additional danger. As early as next week, the federal government and the authorities of the federal states will discuss additional measures to combat the pandemic. Will there be a curfew in the country?

At the moment, this measure has been introduced only in some regions of Germany. In Bavaria and Baden-Württemberg, a curfew was introduced from 12 December. Residents of Bavaria are allowed to leave their accommodation between 21:00 and 5:00 only for good reasons. In Baden-Württemberg, the curfew is in effect even from 20:00. FDP health expert Andrew Ullmann doubts this measure will have the expected effect.

However, movement restrictions are in effect in many European countries, sometimes even in a stricter form. In France, for example, residents of the country are allowed to leave their homes for just an hour during the day to make the necessary purchases or play sports.

However, it is unlikely that such a strict version of the curfew will be introduced in Germany. At the current hour, there are no prerequisites for introducing such a radical measure. If the number of infections does not begin to decline, it is likely that a curfew will be imposed at night or in the evening. This means that from a certain hour it will be possible to leave the house only for valid reasons.

Germany says this:

Germany: In which German banks do you need to pay for keeping money in accounts

Basic pension in Germany: when, for whom and how much

Germany: how to find out what limits you can get around in your area

Germany: in which lands since January 11, there is a measure of limiting the radius of movement
