Victory Day on May 9, 2021 in Krasnoyarsk: program of events and what to see.

May holidays throughout Russia in 2021, as in the past, are held in a truncated format in terms of various events. The reason for this is the restrictions imposed due to coronavirus infection. However, some traditional celebrations on Victory Day on May 9 still will not do without some traditional celebrations. In particular, the “Garden of Remembrance” action will be held throughout the country. Everyone will be able to plant trees. The planting principle is one tree for one who has not returned from the war.

In the Krasnoyarsk Territory, the authorities have also prepared a number of events dedicated to the celebration of Victory Day. On May 9, Krasnoyarsk will host the 55th relay race, timed to coincide with the 76th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War. The participants of the race need to assemble a team of 13 people, divided into 7 men and 6 women, who will have to overcome 13 stages of 4.5 kilometers long. The race will take place on the Central Embankment of the Yenisei.

In addition, an exposition in honor of the 76th anniversary of the Great Victory will open on the square in front of the Krasnoyarsk Regional Philharmonic Society. In preparing the exhibition, photographs, letters and documents from the personal archives of the Red Army soldiers were used. The exhibition will run until May 16 every day.

But the all-Russian action in memory of the Immortal Regiment, which has already become over the past few years due to coronavirus infection, will be held this year, as well as in 2020, online. It’s all to blame for the restrictive measures associated with the coronavirus. In order to take part in it, you must register in advance on the official website of the action. After that, choose a city and send photos for online broadcasting.

The celebration of Victory Day in Krasnoyarsk will end with a festive fireworks, which will last 15 minutes. The fireworks will start at 22:45 local time. Volleys will be fired from several points at once: from Tatyshev Island near the June shopping center and from a barge near the Communal Bridge.
