Today in Kalmykia, in the vicinity of the village of Yashkul, in the uninhabited steppe area, artillery shells of the Great Patriotic War have been destroyed.

Items that are structurally similar to artillery shells were found on one of the streets of the village of Yashkul by a local resident. He reported the dangerous find to the law enforcement agencies of the Yashkul region.

Employees of the engineering and technical service of the OMON group of the Rosgvardia Directorate for the Republic of Kazakhstan, who examined the suspicious objects, identified them as 76 and 45 mm artillery shells from the Great Patriotic War with traces of corrosion.

The riot policemen took the dangerous find to the steppe, to a deserted place, where the explosives destroyed them with an overhead charge, the press service of the department reports.
