The Venezuelan authorities are negotiating with Russia on participation in the testing and production of the Russian vaccine against coronavirus infection Sputnik V, reports the Crónica Uno edition on August 21.
According to the Minister of Health of Venezuela Carlos Alvarado, 500 volunteers are ready to participate in the next trial of the drug.
Alvarado also said that the government has agreed with the developer of the vaccine Sinovac Biotech (China) to conduct the third phase of research on their drug in the country.
Earlier it became known that Russia will supply Mexico with 2 thousand doses of coronavirus vaccine for the third stage of clinical trials. According to the head of the Mexican Foreign Ministry, Marcelo Ebrarda, vaccine research will begin in September.
