Russian UFC welterweight fighter Abubakar Nurmagomedov will fight American Jared Gooden as part of the Absolute Fighting Championship on March 27. This was announced on Tuesday, March 9, by the team of the American athlete, TASS reports.
“Jared will fight against Abubakar Nurmagomedov on March 27,” the source said.
Abubakar Nurmagomedov is the cousin of UFC champion Khabib Nurmagomedov.
For the Russian fighter, this will be the second fight in the UFC, the previous one, which took place on November 9, 2019, ended for him with a defeat from the German David Zavada.
In MMA, Abubakar Nurmagomedov has 19 fights, in which he won 15 victories and suffered three defeats, another fight ended in a draw.
On March 7, UFC head Dana White met with Russian fighter Khabib Nurmagomedov at a tournament in Las Vegas and invited him to return to mixed martial arts (MMA).
