The passage over the bridge over the Kruchina River at the 32nd kilometer of the Chita-Zabaikalsk-border highway with the PRC will be closed from July 31 due to the overhaul of the bridge. The movement of cars will be transferred to a temporary bypass road, the press service of Uprdor Zabaikalye told MK in Chita on July 30.
On the bridge, workers will repair the pillars of the structure, renovate part of the superstructure beams, replace the bridge interface with the highway approaches, and lay a new bridge bed made of durable asphalt concrete. They will also make a drainage system, new barriers and railings and staircases.
The press service specified that the bridge repairs will end in 2021. After completion of the work, its condition will meet the requirements of the 2nd technical category.
