As we have already reported, senior police lieutenant Sergei Vladimirovich Karsanova, a senior operative of the Thunder special-purpose detachment of the Office of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, has tragically died in the line of duty.
The police said that on February 20, 2021, while on duty, Sergei Vladimirovich’s health condition deteriorated sharply and he lost consciousness. Doctors tried to resuscitate him, but a special forces policeman died. The department explained that the cause of death of the officer was acute coronary insufficiency – the heart could not stand it.
Sergey Karsanov was born on February 18, 1977 in Yaroslavl. He barely crossed the threshold of his 44th birthday. In 2002, he entered the service in the Ministry of Internal Affairs, starting her as a police officer in a company of the patrol-post police service of the police department of the Frunzensky District of Yaroslavl.
In 2009-2016 he served in the special forces unit of the regional UFSKN of Russia in the Yaroslavl region. Since 2017 – in the special purpose unit “Thunder” of the Drug Control Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the Yaroslavl Region.
The civil funeral service will begin on February 23 at 11.00 in the ritual hall of the Solovyov Hospital (7 Zagorodny Sad Street). The funeral will be held at the Western (Churilkovsky) cemetery in Yaroslavl. The officer will be given military honors.
