The leading expert of the Phobos weather center, Yevgeny Tishkovets, on Wednesday, April 21, on his Instagram page said that snow and frost are expected in Moscow this weekend.
As the forecaster noted, “spring stumbled up to May Day inclusive”, in connection with which “showers with sleet, October cold, night frosts” are expected.
According to a specialist on the air of “Moscow 24”, on Thursday, April 22, a slight warming will come to the capital, but it will not do without precipitation, in places – with thunderstorms. Thermometer columns will rise to + 11 … + 16 degrees.
On Friday, April 23, in the first half of the day, anomalous and even record amount of precipitation is predicted: presumably, at least 30 mm of precipitation will fall in the form of rain and snow, and this is 70% of the April volume of moisture.
By the weekend, the temperature background will rapidly decrease, the air temperature will be from 0 to +5 degrees, in some places there will be frosts down to -1 …- 2 degrees.
The meteorologist added that this weather, typical for late autumn, will continue next week throughout the Central Russian Plain. It will get a little warmer by the May Day. At night, the thermometer will show + 1 … + 6 degrees, during the day the air will warm up to + 10 … + 15 degrees.
Tishkovets added that between May 1 and 9, “the atmosphere will stabilize,” therefore, by the Victory Day, the capital will have comfortable weather close to the climatic norm. The temperature will be + 15 … + 20 degrees, the website 360tv.ru writes.
On April 21, the scientific director of the Hydrometeorological Center, Roman Vilfand, warned of temperature fluctuations in Central Russia. According to meteorologists’ forecasts, by the end of the week in the center of European Russia, temperature columns will fluctuate in the range from +6 to +18 degrees, changing cold weather to warm and vice versa.
