At least three people were injured in the Saki region of Crimea as a result of a collision between a bus and a car. IA “Kryminform” was informed about this in the press service of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia in the republic.
“There was a collision between a PAZ bus and a Hyundai. Two people were injured on the bus and a Hyundai driver, ”the rescue department said.
According to the republican Ministry of Internal Affairs, the accident occurred on the morning of Thursday, April 22, on the Chernomorskoye – Evpatoria highway. The driver of the PAZ regular bus, following the Novoozernoe – Evpatoria route, drove into the oncoming lane, where he collided with a Hyundai passenger car.
As noted in law enforcement agencies, the driver of the car was injured, as well as four people who were on the bus. The exact number of victims is being specified.
On the fact of the incident, the prosecutor’s office organized an inspection. The circumstances of the accident are being established.
On April 16, the Ministry of Internal Affairs named the number of those killed and injured in road accidents over the past year. According to the ministry, more than 16 thousand people died in road accidents in Russia in 2020, another 183 thousand were injured.
