Three people were killed in a shooting that took place late Sunday morning in Austin, Texas.

According to the authorities, the incident is an “isolated act of domestic violence”, reports the CNN network.

The suspect is still at large and residents of the area are invited to take refuge in their homes. The authorities have also said that there is no danger to the public, again according to CNN.

A manhunt has been launched by the FBI and US law enforcement to find the suspect, reports ABC and Fox News networks.

The wanted man is Stephen Nicholas Broderick, 41, and is considered “armed and dangerous,” Interim Police Chief Joseph Chacon told a press briefing.

According to Fox, the victims are said to be two Hispanic women and a black man.

Authorities report that the victims were found dead outside an apartment building upon arrival there, ABC reports.

A child was also found there by the police. However, it is unclear what the link, if there is one, with the suspect and the victims, said Mr. Chacon.

No other casualties were reported. An investigation is underway.
