Three children were rescued from a drifting ice floe on a pond in the Chelyabinsk region. This was announced on Sunday, April 25, by the press service of the regional GU EMERCOM of Russia.

The incident took place in the city of Zlatoust. Three children, aged six, 12 and 13, found themselves on an ice floe, which was carried 40 m from the coast by the current. Eyewitnesses of the incident called rescuers. Arriving at the place, they reached the children in a rubber boat, took them off the ice and brought them to the shore, the website kp.ru writes.

The children were handed over to the ambulance doctors who arrived for examination, the children did not receive any injuries, nothing threatens their lives. The children were taken home under the supervision of the police, the website aif.ru writes.

The children did not complain about anything, but admitted that they were scared and promised to be more careful in the future, the website 360tv.ru writes. They said that they were standing on an ice floe when it suddenly began to float away. In total, they spent about an hour on it.

Rescuers of the Ministry of Emergency Situations reminded that going out on the ice in the off-season is strictly prohibited. They urged parents to have a preventive conversation with their children and explain what such entertainment is fraught with.
