In the Moscow region, it is planned to complete the harvesting of animal feed for the winter in November. This was reported by the press service of the regional Ministry of Agriculture with reference to the head of the department Andrei Razin.
At the moment, for the period 2020-2021, farmers have procured more than 1.05 million tons of roughage. This figure exceeds last year by 211 thousand tons, writes the Internet portal “Moscow Region Today”.
In the Moscow region, 67 thousand tons of juicy feed were also prepared. Compared to the same period last year, this is 73 thousand tons less.
According to the minister, 172 thousand hectares of grasses were cut, which were used for hay, haylage, green forage and silage. The indicator exceeded the level of the previous year by 10 thousand hectares.
On August 20, it was reported that farmers in the Moscow region threshed 164 thousand tons of grain, legumes and oilseeds. This is 158% more than in the same period in 2019.
