Workers of the Minsk Electromechanical Plant named after Kozlov went to a rally. The video of the incident was published on Tuesday, August 11, by the REN TV channel.
“They were very indignant that last night someone got into some kind of situation and got some kind of injuries, either themselves or their children, but now, it seems, everyone has calmed down,” said the deputy director of the enterprise Valeriy Shcherbo.
According to him, by now we managed to find a common language with the employees, and they returned to their jobs.
In Minsk and other cities of Belarus, unauthorized protests began after the presidential elections on 9 August. As a result, according to the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the country, about 3 thousand people were detained, one person died. The Investigative Committee of the Republic opened criminal cases on the facts of riots and violence against employees of the internal affairs bodies.
According to the country’s Central Election Commission, the current head of the republic, Alexander Lukashenko, won 80.08% of the vote, and his rival Svetlana Tikhanovskaya – 10.09%.
