The US authorities are expressing support for the Czech Republic in its decisive response to the “subversive actions of Russia.” So said State Department spokesman Ned Price, commenting on Prague’s decision to expel Russian diplomats.

On Twitter, Price noted that countries must act decisively in response to Russia’s actions “that threaten territorial integrity, energy security, or the vital infrastructure of our allies and partners.”

Earlier, the actions of the Czech Republic, which decided to expel 18 Russian diplomats, were supported by NATO and Poland.

Prague claimed that the deported diplomatic workers were allegedly connected with the Russian special services. At the same time, the Czech Republic blames the Russian Federation in connection with the explosion at a military warehouse in Vrbetica in 2014.

Later, Russian Foreign Ministry Speaker Maria Zakharova noted that the Czech Republic knows well what will follow. She then pledged that Moscow would retaliate soon.
