The total of recorded cases is 5,993,668, said the university in Baltimore (Maryland), in the northeastern United States.
According to its count, the number of coronavirus-related deaths in the United States is 183,034, and 2,153,939 people are considered cured of COVID-19.
The United States is by far the most heavily affected country in the world by the pandemic in absolute numbers, both in terms of the number of infections and deaths.
