The Ministry of Labor, Migration and Employment of Tajikistan appealed to the residents of the republic with an appeal not to enter Russia with forged documents. This was announced on Saturday, April 17, by the head of the international relations department of the ministry, Farangis Islomova.

Thus, the department reacted to the appeal of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia on April 16 to representatives of the countries of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) with a request to carry out preventive measures among migrants who are currently in Russia, so as not to bring the case to their forced expulsion. Until then, illegal migrants can leave the country on their own and avoid punishment.

“We urge residents of Tajikistan, especially those who leave for labor migration, not to enter Russia with fake documents,” RIA Novosti quoted Islomova as saying.

The representative of the Ministry of Labor emphasized that the authorities do not recommend citizens of the republic to buy plane tickets if there are no grounds for entering Russia.

As it became known in early April, the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs is developing a bill that will allow foreigners and stateless persons to legalize their stay on the territory of the Russian Federation, despite the existing violations. Administrative measures will not be applied to these citizens, and those that were taken earlier will be canceled.

On March 2, it was reported that in the first two months of 2021, about 100 thousand foreign citizens and stateless persons were accepted into Russian citizenship. Over the same period last year – over 107 thousand people.
