The cyclone that struck Primorye two days ago ceased its influence. This was announced on Saturday, November 21, by the press secretary of the regional hydrometeorological center Viktor Chulkov.
According to him, precipitation has stopped everywhere, RIA Novosti reports.
“The cyclone left and stopped influencing the region,” Chulkov said.
On the night of November 19, precipitation began in the Primorsky Territory in the form of rain, which turned into snow and freezing rain. The bad weather caused the breaks of power lines, falling trees and structures in the south of the region. On Friday, a regional emergency regime was introduced in Primorye.
As a result of the bad weather, more than 600 houses were left without heating in Vladivostok. In the city, 205 damages were recorded on the power grids, about 200 power transmission poles, which provide lighting on the streets, were damaged, over 4.5 thousand trees were felled. A temporary accommodation center was opened for people who were left without heat and light.
