Rector of the Arctic State Agrotechnological University Ivan Sleptsov was detained in a fraud case. This is stated in a message published on November 26 on the website of the prosecutor’s office of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia).

In addition, a criminal case has been initiated against the rector for abuse of office. It is noted that the cases are combined into one proceeding.

Earlier, on March 2, it became known that the rector of the Voronezh State Technical University, Sergei Kolodyazhny, was detained on suspicion of taking a bribe.

It was reported that searches were carried out at the rector’s workplace and at his home, as well as at four other persons involved in the case – vice-rectors of the university. Vice-rectors are suspected of fraud.
