The Moscow Interregional Transport Prosecutor’s Office has begun an investigation into the fire in the train driver’s cab in the Kaluga Region. This is stated on the website of the department on Sunday, April 4.
It is noted that the Kaluga transport prosecutor Denis Kosik visited the scene. If violations are identified, prosecutorial response measures will be taken. In addition, the inspection began at the Moscow Interregional Investigation Department for Transport of the Investigative Committee of Russia.
Investigators of the Bryansk Transport Investigation Department inspect the scene of the incident, the rolling stock, conduct a survey of the members of the locomotive brigade. The reasons and circumstances of the incident are established.
The emergency happened earlier that day on the seventh track of the Maloyaroslavets station. The driver’s cab of the 6306 electric train broke out on the Maloyaroslavets-Moscow route. According to NSN, there was a smoke generation followed by a fire in the tail car of the electric train. The burning car was successfully detached from the train, Ridus notes.
The fire brigade, who arrived at the scene, had to wait for a power outage before starting to extinguish, the Zvezda TV channel notes.
The passengers were evacuated, no one was injured. They reached their destination on an electric train-express notes the TV channel “360”.
The fire was liquidated. All trains departed on schedule.
