Ilya Kiva, a deputy of the Rada of Ukraine from the Opposition Platform – For Life party, said that the ex-president of the country Petro Poroshenko planned to carry out a coup in the country on Independence Day on August 24.
“Poroshenko finances nationalist groups, preparing them for the march on Independence Day, which should develop into a confrontation with the government and end with a coup d’etat,” the deputy stressed.
According to the NewsOne TV channel, Kiva noted that people who have the desire and experience to overthrow the government will take part in the coup. According to him, Poroshenko intends to remain unpunished, seize power and “continue the criminal path towards Ukraine.”
