Nutritionist, clinical psychologist-nutritionist, member of the Union of the National Association of Clinical Nutrition, Anna Ivashkevich, in an interview with aif.ru correspondent on Monday, April 19, told how much you can eat barbecue at a time without harm to health.

According to her, you should not eat more than 200-300 g of kebab at a time, as this can harm the pancreas and negatively affect your well-being, for example, cause heaviness, bloating, flatulence and nausea.

When choosing meat for barbecue, according to a specialist, you should choose one that is well digestible. It could be a rabbit or a turkey. Rabbit meat is more useful, especially for people with metabolic problems and obesity, since it contains a large amount of protein and up to 15% fat. Also rabbit meat is well digested.

The nutritionist advised to choose animal meat with the least amount of fatty inclusions.

The specialist noted that the most popular types of meat for barbecue are pork, lamb and beef. According to her, they practically do not differ in the balance of amino acids. Ivashkevich added that “these options are more rigid due to the large number of connective tissues.”

The nutritionist also drew attention to the fact that the amount of shish kebab eaten depends not only on its quality, but also on the physical activity of a person, his age and even gender. In particular, a healthy young man who plays sports three to four times a week will be better able to digest food than a person with chronic illness or gastrointestinal problems. In this regard, the specialist called on the picnic to take into account their individual characteristics and listen to their well-being.

On April 17, it was reported that dietitian of the SberZdorovye service, Margarita Makukha, spoke about the benefits of barbecue. According to her, kebab from any meat contains elements important for the body, and can also be a good remedy for stress. In addition, the expert explained, the kebab contains essential amino acids for the body, which are important for the formation of body muscles.
