Since the beginning of the pandemic of a new type of coronavirus in the regions of the North Caucasus, 39 thousand 979 cases of COVID-19 infection have been identified. Such data are provided by Rospotrebnadzor of the Russian Federation as of Saturday, August 8.
Of the total number of cases, 32 thousand 835 patients recovered.
900 people became victims of the pandemic in the North Caucasus, of which 453 were in the Republic of Dagestan.
Over the past day, 249 new cases of coronavirus infection have been identified in the district. Half of the new cases (137 patients) occurred in the Stavropol Territory.
Isolated cases of the disease were detected per day in North Ossetia-Alania, the Chechen Republic and in Karachay-Cherkessia.
