A police officer was driving a Datsun car that caused an accident in the Samara region, as a result of which two people were killed and five were injured. This was reported on Saturday, August 8, by TASS with reference to the MIA General Administration for the region.
“A Datsun car was driven by an employee of the Department of Internal Affairs of one of the Samara region units, who was on vacation,” the department said, adding that the policeman drove a personal car.
On the fact of the incident, the head of the department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the region, Alexander Vinnikov, was appointed to conduct an official check, as a result of which the employee will be fired and punished in accordance with the law.
According to the department, two people died in an accident – a man and a woman.
Earlier on the same day, one death was reported. It turned out to be the driver of Hyundai, who was carried under a wagon due to a collision with Datsun.
