Over the past 24 hours, 20,921 cases of COVID-19 have become known. This is the minimum number since November 11, when 19,851 cases of infection were registered per day.

On January 20, the head of Rospotrebnadzor Anna Popova noted that there is a trend towards a decrease in the incidence of COVID-19 in Russia. According to her, since the beginning of autumn in the country, the daily increase in new cases has not exceeded 20 per 100 thousand people, which is two times lower than, for example, in Europe.
In turn, Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin announced on January 19 that the situation with coronavirus infection in Russia remains difficult, but at the same time it is gradually stabilizing. He stressed that it is necessary to ensure that the reserve of beds for patients with COVID-19, as well as the supply of drugs, is maintained.
