The Gatchina Cathedral of St. Paul the Apostle was built in the middle of the 19th century. The temple belongs to the Gatchina diocese of the Russian Orthodox Church, it is the center of the Gatchina city deanery district.

At the end of December, it became known that the roof of the Church of the Assumption with unique frescoes, located near Pskov, had been replaced.
