At the regional beauty contest, the first beauties and clever women of the Astrakhan region fought for the title of the most enviable bride
In Astrakhan, the beauty contest “The Bride of Astrakhan” took place. For several days, the participants fought for the high title of an enviable bride, got acquainted with the traditions of Russian culture, attended master classes and spiritual conversations, showed their skills in dance and songs, and participated in competitions.
On the first day, the girls shared the facts of their biography, talked about their interests and merits, wrote essays and paraded in traditional Russian costumes.
The second day of the competition was more informative than competitive – the applicants attended specialized master classes with experts from the Astrakhan region, learned to dance with the theater and ballet artist Anastasia Larina, weave from bast and make dolls, and sculpt from clay with MBUK “Evpraxia”. In addition, teachers from the Musorgsky Astrakhan College of Music Pavel Klevakin and Alexandra Smirnova talked about playing musical folk instruments and held a master class on folk vocal. The girls were able to listen to a lecture on traditional Russian clothing from the director of the Center for the Development of Traditional Culture and Crafts “Rybitsa” Irina Vodovozova.
Two days of competition ended, and the jury chose three winners and the owner of the title of the enviable bride of Astrakhan. Anna Belyanina deservedly won the first place, and Olga Tretyakova and Maria Zastoina took the second and third places. The event was organized by the Movement of Russian Culture “Pokrov”.
