The Moscow prosecutor’s office organized a check on the requests of apartment owners in the Novaya Zvezda residential complex, located in New Moscow. This is stated in a press release received on December 15 at Izvestia.
Prosecutors will assess compliance by officials, including the management company, with the requirements of urban planning, housing and sanitary and epidemiological legislation and fire safety requirements.
Also, the department will check the sanitary condition of the common property of apartment buildings. Based on the results of the check, if there are grounds, prosecutorial response measures will be taken.
The investigation by the prosecutor’s office began after the REN TV channel reported that the apartment owners in Novaya Zvezda had problems with the roof, leaks in pipelines and periodic power outages.
“The third house, there are cockroaches. We have rats running around. At night only. But they are so specific, straight from a cat, ”the residents told reporters.
