In the Moscow apartment of the Ukrainian ex-deputy Oleg Markov, arrested in the case of smuggling Scythian gold, a pistol was seized, and a criminal case was opened. This was reported on November 26 by TASS, citing a source in law enforcement agencies.

“During the investigation, a Makarov pistol and a magazine with three lead-core cartridges from law enforcement agencies were found and seized in Markov’s apartment. The experts found that the seized weapons were manufactured at the plant, and the ammunition for them was also manufactured at the Tula Arms Plant and are suitable for shooting, ”the agency was told.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs initiated a criminal case on illegal possession of firearms and ammunition. Markov is charged.

On November 19, it became known that the former deputy of the Odessa City Council, Oleg Markov, was detained in Moscow red-handed while trying to sell the Scythian gold smuggled out of Ukraine.

According to a Izvestia source, Markov was detained in a bank branch in the center of Moscow during a test purchase organized by operatives. The amount of the illegal transaction was supposed to be € 2 million.

The ex-deputy was going to give the “buyer” an amphora with stones, a necklace, a bracelet, as well as gold plates and a medallion.
