The Ministry of Health of the Stavropol Territory checked the message about replacing the bodies of dead newborn children with dolls, this information was not confirmed. This was announced on Wednesday, February 10, at the department.
Earlier that day, a video appeared on the network in which a father, who was burying his stillborn children in Dagestan, found in the cemetery that dolls were wrapped in a funerary blanket. According to the man, the babies were born in Stavropol in the Perinatal Center No. 1.
“Shocking information is spreading in public that dolls were found instead of the bodies of babies in Dagestan during the funeral ceremony. This information has not been confirmed, “the ministry told Interfax.
They emphasized that the Ministry of Health of the Stavropol Territory promptly checked the patient’s data, which are reported in social networks. It is noted that this did not go to either of the two perinatal centers in Stavropol, or to any other obstetric facility in Stavropol – neither this nor last year.
The Ministry of Health added that the perinatal center No. 1, which is mentioned in the video, is equipped with a video surveillance system with 190 cameras, which ensure complete transparency of the work of the medical institution.
The Governor of the Stavropol Territory, Vladimir Vladimirov, also commented on the message about the replacement of dead babies with dolls. According to him, in the Stavropol Perinatal Center “there have never been double stillbirths.”
