Amendments to the law on transferring illegally received money to the Pension Fund are needed to synchronize with the norms of the Civil Code. This “RIA Novosti” was told in the Ministry of Finance of the Russian Federation.
The ministry noted that, in fact, this is a technical revision. The amendments themselves concern the clarifications made to the budget code in order to be able to confiscate in favor of the FIU not only property, but also money, if it was not possible to prove their legality.
Alexey Zubets, director of the Institute of Social and Economic Research at the Financial University under the Government, told Sputnik radio that there is no need to look for pitfalls in this amendment.
According to him, the Russian Pension Fund is in short supply. The department does not have enough money that it collects in order to pay pensions. The proposed measure is technical, as it involves sending the confiscated funds directly to the FIU, bypassing the government, which supports the fund through subsidies.
Earlier, on July 28, Izvestia was told in the Ministry of Finance that they are proposing amendments to the Budget Code, which propose to transfer to the Pension Fund of Russia money from citizens, the legality of which cannot be proven. Most factions of the State Duma are ready to support the initiative in connection with the deficit of the Pension Fund and the fall in its income.
As reported in mid-July, the adjustment of pensions of working pensioners will begin on August 1 in Russia. The procedure is mandatory and annual. While a pensioner is working, insurance pension contributions are withheld from his salary and his pension is regularly increased taking into account the funds received.
Pensions can grow by a maximum of three pension points each year. In 2020, a retirement point is worth 93 rubles – the maximum increase will be 279 rubles.
