The beheading of a college history professor in the municipality of Eranha on the outskirts of Paris is a native of Moscow. He was 18 years old. This was announced by the BFMTV channel with reference to its source.
The TV channel also reports that the parents of the students of the Conflans-Saint-Honorine College, where the deceased worked, said that during one of the lessons the teacher showed cartoons of the Prophet Muhammad.
At the moment, French President Emmanuel Macron, along with two ministers, arrived at the educational institution, later the Minister of the Interior Gerald Darmanin is to join them. They are interviewing college staff.
The Russian diplomatic mission in Paris, in turn, said that the competent authorities of the republic did not apply to the Russian embassy with inquiries after reports of the Russian origin of the alleged murderer of the professor, writes RIA Novosti with reference to Russian diplomats.
The head of the press service of the Russian Embassy in Paris, Sergei Parinov, in turn, told TASS that the diplomatic mission had asked the French authorities for information about the person who committed the murder.
The attack in Paris became known earlier that day. The media reported that an unknown man, shouting Islamist slogans, beheaded a man near the aforementioned college.
The police arrived at the scene and eliminated the alleged attacker. The man was shot dead in the neighboring municipality of Val d’Oise. It is noted that an unknown person with a knife threatened the police officers, who had to open fire several times.
Later it became known that the murdered was a teacher of an educational institution. At the moment, the motives of the attacker are unknown. The anti-terrorist prosecutor’s office took up the investigation.
