Rojanski is known for his research on Russian issues, he is often quoted by the American press, and also often acts as an expert on the Russian Federation.
At the same time, the activities of the director of the institute for Russian issues provoke heated public discussions, since the Ukrainian graduates of the university in their 2018 open letter criticized one of his works.
It is noted that Matthew Rojanski has been the head of the institute since 2013. The organization is one of the leading think tanks on Russian issues. Previously, he served as Deputy Director of the Russia and Eurasia Program at the Carnegie Endowment.
