Investigators will check whether the weapon was legally issued to the suspect in the murder of three people in the Nizhny Novgorod region. The corresponding instruction was given by the chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia Alexander Bastrykin on October 13.
“As directed by the chairman of the IC, investigators must <...> carefully check information about the manifestation of aggression by suspects in adolescence, assess the actions (inaction) of employees of prevention and law enforcement agencies in this regard, and also check the legality of issuing a permit to own a weapon” , – said in a message on the website of the department.
Investigators and criminologists are working at the scene, witnesses are being questioned. According to the UK, the 18-year-old boy “fired shots at the local residents for no reason.”
The press service of the Russian Guard reported that the suspect has been the legal owner of a hunting smooth-bore rifle since September 17, TASS writes.
The incident happened the day before. Presumably, 18-year-old Daniil Monakhov had a falling out with his grandmother, after which he shot a pensioner, and then opened fire on people at a bus stop in the village of Bolsheorlovskoye, Borsky District.
