The head of the Ukrainian Institute of National Remembrance, Anton Drobovich, spoke on his Facebook page with sharp criticism of the march organized by the nationalists in Kiev in honor of the anniversary of the creation of the SS Galicia division.
According to Drobovich, there should not be such events praising Nazism in the “European capital”.
“I don’t understand what this has to do with embroidered shirts during marches in honor of Nazi military units? … The glorification of the SS troops is unacceptable for a European country … I’m sure the absolute majority of Ukrainians don’t support it. History needs to be studied, openly understood in complex issues .. Black and white simplifications, marches, populist slogans and dubious shouts of building a strong and responsible political nation will not come close, “he wrote.
