Voronezh State Opera and Ballet Theater is planned to be reconstructed. The governor of the region Alexander Gusev held a meeting on this issue on July 30 and approved the planning decisions presented by the design institute “Giprokommundortrans”.
As reported to IA “Abireg” in the design institute, during the meeting the general director of the enterprise Yekaterina Alekseeva spoke about the creation of a working group that was engaged in the implementation of the terms of reference of the state contract and instructions of the governor. The specialists worked out the planning solutions for the building, and in order to obtain an expert assessment, a request was sent to the head of the Bolshoi Theater of Russia.
“The main symptom of the problems of the Voronezh Opera and Ballet Theater is that its total area is catastrophically small. At the moment, he does not have the physical ability to host a tour of the leading theaters of the country and abroad. Many parameters of the stage do not correspond to the required formats. The set of rules developed in 2018 – “Theatrical and entertainment buildings. Design Rules ”- gives the exact characteristics of such objects. So, the Voronezh Opera and Ballet Theater does not fit into any of them, ”Ekaterina Alekseeva voiced excerpts from the Bolshoi Theater conclusion.
The design institute has carried out various engineering surveys and developed floor plans with clear zoning. According to the project, a spacious foyer with an atrium and an auditorium for 1,000 seats with good acoustics will appear in the building. The increased width of the game portal will make it possible to demonstrate large-scale opera productions. Changes await the backstage part as well.
The Governor approved space-planning solutions for further design. The architectural design of the facades is in the process of being finalized.
